Nowadays it is only concerning the migration crisis that we hear about borders. Yet those who live or work near one have always been experiencing minor or major daily problems or even annoyances not because of physical, but rather legal and administrative obstacles.  Parallel to the EU consultation initiated by the Commissioner of Regional Policy and with the support of the Ministry of Justice, we are organising a series of workshops that aims to draw up the various legal and administrative barriers hindering cross-border cooperation and daily commution in the border region, and to collect specific legislation proposals to tackle or eliminate these problems, partially with the help of western good practices.

Experts and decision-makers often encountering the problems stated above are invited to the workshops to help identify these obstacles. They might also have ideas how to overcome these problems, whether they are related to health care, public transport, emergency response, training, transportation, etc.
