The Working Group on Innovative Solutions to Cross-Border Obstacles held its meeting on 6th February at the Committee of the Regions. The program started with Nathalie Verschelde’s (DG Regio) presentation on the achievements made since the Communication Boosting Growth and Cohesion in Border Regions was published. Dirk Peters (DG Regio) informed the working group members about that the proposal on a regulation enabling the launching of the ECBC tool during the post-2020 programming period is under drafting.
As used to be, good practices were presented this time, as well: the participants were informed about the Benelux cooperation, the Estonian-Latvian Intergovernmental Commissions, the German planification project supported by MORO programme and the French territorial observation (data harmonisation).
